Gimme a Break!

I entitled this post after the KitKat Bar cause it has a good catch phrase. And for all of you blog readers who want to know what is going on with the wedding and are complaining about no new up dates this I give you a KitKat Bar! Ok so I do feel kinda bad that I haven't updated anyone since I got back from Pittsburgh but I do have excuses and some of them are good ones. I will start with the obvious...work is crazy.
I have changed from working with the kidney transplant patient to the liver transplant patients. For those of you who don't know liver transplant was pioneered in the 'burgh so I feel at home. Here the hepatologists (liver doctor) round at 7 am. That wouldn't be bad if I could just show up at 7 but for some reason I need to be prepared before I round so I get here promtly at 6am everyday. Again this wouldn't be bad but I don't leave till close to 6pm everyday. Liver = Long hours. I do like it though, so the days aren't that bad. I have a presentation to give next week so I have been procrastinating on that, hopefully it will get done.
For those of you who don't care about the liver (its important, you can't live without it!) wedding plans are slowly moving forward. I have pick a couple of invitations out, Sam just needs to see them and agree (he's going to love them!). We a photographer, he's a DJ and takes pics! He is only going to be our photographer though. Imagine the running around if he was doing both. The wedding party is finalized. Sam and I are excited to have our friends and family involved. Sam's neices (Becca and Kayla) and nephew (Lil' B) are going to be in it, as well as Keegan and Jonathan. Kira (Nicole, my friend from high school's little girl) will be joining in too. I never though about having kids in my wedding but we couldn't have gotten to this place in our lives without them.
Other happy news if you don't know...my sister Drew and her boyfriend Brandon are engaged! He ask on New Years Eve. So sweet. Ok maybe I should get back to work.

Thanksgiving Here and Gone

Wow a week went by so fast... Sam, Keegan and I spent Thanksgiving up at the cabin with my family (a whole lot of people). I had a great time being home and away from work, but now I have tons more work to do. Sam and I didn't get as many things done that I would have liked to last week for the wedding but we did get a couple important things checked off. The guest list if finalized and I have picked out my dress! I am so excited about it, I absolutely LOVE it. I did get a chance to go to Lakeview. The place is very nice and it should be so pretty in October. Well the lunch break is over, guess I should go get some of my work done. I won't be home for Christmas so hope everyone has a Happy Holiday and a Happy New Year!

Congratulations

Hello Lindsey and Sam,
I am so happy for the two of you. You really desire each ohter. God puts beautiful people people in our lives for special reasons, like spending the rest of your life with each other. If I was an ordained Minister I would have been so honored to have married you two, but that niece of mine is so crazy. I will try my best to get an on-line certificate as an ordained Minister to marry your two.:-) Good Luck and God bless.

Busy Busy Busy

Hello Everyone! Scott set this blog up so I could keep everyone informed as to the goings on...well there really isn't anything new. Sam and I are looking at places for the ceremony and reception. He is out by himself today looking at a resort in WV, the place seems nice and the pictures look pretty. We'll see what happens. Things in Nasville have been super busy. It just makes me more nervous about planning a wedding from a different time zone/state. Well once we decided on a place I'll let everyone know. Hope all is well else where! ~Lindsay
